European Medicines Agency Adopts Positive Opinion for Recommending Conditional Approval of NEXPOVIO (Selinexor) |
On January 29, 2021 the European Medicines Agency's (EMA) Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) “adopted a positive opinion recommending the conditional approval for NEXPOVIO® (selinexor) in combination with dexamethasone for the treatment of multiple myeloma in adult patients who have received at least four prior therapies and whose disease is refractory to at least two proteasome inhibitors, two immunomodulatory agents, and an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody, and who have demonstrated disease progression on the last therapy.” |

IMF Advocates for Cancer Patient Vaccine Prioritization |
On January 26, 2021, the International Myeloma Foundation led a group of cancer advocacy organizations in sending a letter to states regarding COVID-19 vaccine prioritization for cancer patients. Because many cancer patients are especially vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19, we want to ensure that patients are prioritized above the general public. The IMF also joined in additional group efforts and sent a letter advocating for patients to the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, which you can access at the button below.
