Virtual Vacation Includes a Visit to a Galaxy Far, Far Away and an Encounter with Woolly Mammoth DNA
While the pandemic prevents vacation travel, music and books can transport us through time and space, says IMF Chairman Dr. Brian G.M. Durie. The itinerary for his “virtual vacation” featured the startling images from a supermassive black hole and luscious tracks by Italian composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi.

Register Now for This FREE IMF Regional Community Workshop
Focused on the Southern California region, this virtual workshop takes place on Saturday, March 27, from 10 a.m-12:30 p.m. PT. IMF Regional Community Workshops offer myeloma patients and caregivers up-to-the-minute information, including an introduction to myeloma (Myeloma 101), upfront treatments at diagnosis, maintenance therapy, relapse information, and an update on clinical trials. Also, a member of the IMF Nurse Leadership Board will talk about managing side effects and symptoms of myeloma and its treatments.

Panelists include Craig Cole, MD, from Michigan State University Breslin Cancer Center; Caitlin Costello, MD, from Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health; and Teresa S. Miceli, RN, BSN, OCN, from Mayo Clinic-Rochester. Kelly Cox, IMF Senior Director of Regional Community Workshops, will be the moderator for the workshop. Question-and-answer segments will follow each presentation with the experts, allowing ample time for the audience to ask questions.
