Icelandic Studies (iStopMM) to Chart the Way Forward at ASH 2021
Data from iStopMM, the first population-based screening study for MGUS, will take center stage in four oral presentations at the 63rd American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, December 11-14. “Congratulations to the amazing and dedicated iStopMM team leading the way to the future!” says IMF Chairman Dr. Brian G.M. Durie.

Register Now for This Virtual Multiple Myeloma Workshop on November 6
The next IMF Virtual Regional Community Workshop will take place November 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. MT. Learn about upfront treatments at diagnosis, maintenance therapy, relapse information, and clinical trials. The panel of experts will include Edward A. Stadtmauer, MD (University of Pennsylvania — Philadelphia); Luciano Costa, MD (University of Alabama at Birmingham); and IMF Nurse Leadership Board member Daniel Verina, DNP, ACNP-BC (Mount Sinai Hospital — New York). IMF Director of Regional Community Workshops and Support Groups Kelly Cox will welcome attendees. After each presentation with the experts, attendees will be able to ask questions.

The IMF M-Power Initiative is focused on changing the course of myeloma in the African-American community, especially since myeloma is two times as common in people of African descent as it is in all other races and ethnicities.
