When Wayne Hamby died in 2010 from multiple myeloma, the Pinecrest Golf Club held a memorial golf tournament in his honor. Since then, family and friends have gathered each year for the tournament and donated over $42,275 to the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF).

Come join us on October 22, 2016, for the seventh annual tournament as we work toward the IMF mission of improving the quality of life of myeloma patients while working toward prevention and a cure.

Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells which attacks and destroys bone. In the U.S., there are approximately 100,000 patients and nearly 20,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Despite this fact, there is a lack of public awareness about this disease. Established in 1990, the IMF is the oldest and largest foundation focusing specifically on multiple myeloma. The foundation’s focus is research, education, support and advocacy. Details of the work being done by the IMF can be found at
