WestFax Brewing Company and Joyride Brewing Company are coming together to show our support for a local friend of ours who is battling myeloma. Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the bone marrow plasma cells. It is synonymous with "myeloma" and "plasma cell myeloma." Plasma cells make antibodies against infectious agents such as viruses and bacteria. A cancerous or malignant plasma cell is called a myeloma cell. Myeloma is called “multiple” because there are frequently multiple patches or areas in bone marrow where it grows. 159,985 new cases are diagnosed yearly, worldwide. Every day the IMF is closer to finding a cure.
In an effort to raise awareness about myeloma, current research efforts, and prevention, we'll be providing educational materials about the disease, as well as donating 20% of our proceeds during the event here at WestFax to the International Myeloma Foundation - our friend's non-profit organization of choice. To honor our friend and show our support for our local brewery community, we invite you to join us in the WestFax taproom to learn about myeloma and show some love to your neighbors here in West Denver, Colorado.
For questions please contact Austin Fust, Taproom Manager, WestFax Brewing Company.
If you cannot attend but would like to show your support, you may do so by clicking on the DONATE button above. Or you can send a check, payable to: International Myeloma Foundation Attn: Suzanne Battaglia 12650 Riverside Drive, Suite 206 North Hollywood, CA 91607
