Welcome to Ann's Personal Page
I've been luckily healthy my whole life, with no surgeries, medications or chronic diseases. As I turned 65 last year, I began having pain in my shoulder and ribs and, after a variety of doctor visits, PT appointments and tests, was told my X-rays showed multiple bone lesions. After additional scans and biopsies, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma earlier this year. After just a couple of low-dose chemotherapy treatments, my cancer markers dropped to normal range and I was considered in remission. I'm anxiously preparing for the next stage in treatment - an autologous stem cell transplant in June. I can't thank my medical teams enough at both Abington & Penn for their encouragement, support and treatment.
I'm participating in my first Miles for Myeloma Run/Walk to continue funding the important research to cure myeloma. Please help me in this important endeavor and help support the expansion of myeloma treatments and therapies. Thanks so much for your support!
Love, Ann
