Miles for Myeloma 2022

Kath's Krew

Join our team and help find the cure for Multiple Myeloma!

This year marks the 10th race where the lovely Kathleen Swier has been living with and continuing to fight this damn disease!

Kathleen was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer in December 2012.  After a year and a half of chemotherapy and clinical trials, Kathleen received her stem cell transplant in April 2014.  Her cancer numbers were stable for a longtime; however the last couple years they have been climbing back up to the point where her doctors are discussing chemotherapy options with her again.  As chemo lowers a person's immune system, the most recent challenge has been the delay of starting treatment due to the current Covid situation.  Doctors are monitoring her numbers to avoid damage to her kidneys until she can start treatment again.

Join our team and help find the for fur Multiple Myeloma!

We have organized a team for the Miles for Myeloma 5K walk/run on Saturday, April 30th @ 8:30 a.m. @ FDR Park in Philadelphia.

If you're unable to sign-up for the race but would like to donate to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, this would be a great way to help contribute in finding a cure!

Thank you in advance for your continued support to help find a cure!
